We stayed one night in the Room with Tatami Area. The room size was good. The toilet was located near the entrance and while the bathroom was near the tatami area. Bathroom has sperate door with the powder room, convenient when staying with family. lots of bedding in our closet for us to make the tatami bed for our child. She was so happy to make it by herself and glad to sleep in Japanese style bed. pls note there has no sofa in the room but only tatami chair, it may not suitable for seniors. Their onsens are separated into men and women. Bathrobe and slippers for onsens were provided in the closet of your own room. The laundry room was inside the onsen. Free ice-creams were provided at the same floor of the onsens. Free hot Japanese noodles (Remen) started to provide from 10pm, it's nice to have a bowl of hot noodles as supper in the cold winter, warm your heart and stomach. The chefs were busy to cook noodles once the guests arrived into the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was in Japanese style, simple but enough for us. Carpark: although the info mentioned that did not provide car-park but actually they did. There has a side entrance link to the carpark. Just tell the front-desk you need to park your car and make the payment.

The rooms were fantastic. The onsen was perfect after a long day of traveling. The staff were very helpful (they spoke English). We were very impressed with the number of complimentary things available: toothbrushes and toothpaste, a free bowl of ramen after 9:30pm, complementary snacks/drinks after the onsen, pajamas (robes) which you can wear around the hotel and onsen. They even had umbrellas we could borrow for the day since it was raining pretty heavy. Excellent place and excellent stay. Having travelled many places in the world and stayed in many hotels, this has to be the best one by far (and I am also including significantly more expensive places as well).

- access from AKITA station was convenient. about 10min walk from West Exit. - located at the center of the city, access to AKITA MUSEUM OF ART, or SENSHU-PARK is very convenint. - staffs are very friendly and willing to help you at any time. - free noodle service(yonaki-soba) was very delicious. - public bath and open-air bath is very great, so I could stay comfortable. after bath, you can enjoy free ice cream service located in the public bath entrance. - air condition system was well equipped so I could stay warm and comfortable during the winter.

Dormy Inn is always my first choice with wonderful breakfast, onsen and guest laundry. Dormy Inn Akita was a comfortable walk from Akita Station with JR and Shinkansen service. It was convenient for train transportation to Oga, Akita Port, Omagari, Kakunodate and other Akita destinations. The Akita Bus Station in front of the train station has direct airport buses and buses to other destinations on regular schedules. The location was also easily walkable to all choices of delicious food and directly across the street from Senshu Park.

Very helpful staff who couldn't understand me (I can't speak Japanese) but accompanied me to the laundry to demonstrate that I needed to advise a washing machine & dryer number before I could get the key. Very patient receptionist! Only need to pay for the dryer so great for anyone needing to do some laundry. Handy location, loved the evening noodles, terrific facilities with great public baths, spacious room. Great stay!
